I tweak my routine based on the season. I live in Vancouver (if you didn’t know), so we have four distinct seasons and when these seasons change, it can wreak havoc on my skin – or at least it used to! Everything I know about skin health and proper skincare is from working with Project Skin over the years. They’ve examined my skin damage, assessed my concerns & skin goals, tailored a treatment program for me & introduced me to Skinceuticals. Since I first visited their offices, my skin is literally night & day.
When it comes to products, I believe less is more. If you are using good quality products, truth is, you won’t need a lot. While I do get to test out lots of new products via my job in the industry, these are the products that I keep reaching for and remain at the top of my list.
Right now, I want to achieve an effortless, youthful glow. I don’t care to wear much makeup these days, and I’ve fully given up on foundations etc. I just want to nourish, replenish & protect my skin, this is what I’ve been using:
AM ROUTINE:
+ wash face with cold water (I only cleanse once at night)
+ vitamin c: love skinceuticals C E Ferulic or Summer Fridays cc me serum
+ moisturizer: I like RoC’s revive + glow gel cream at the moment
+ bronzing drops: from Lux unfiltered, of course. pick up a bottle of No.12, you won’t be worry!
+ lock everything in with my favorite SPF 40, supergoop’s glowscreen
PM ROUTINE:
+ cleanse: using Elemis pro-collagen rose cleansing balm – all time favorite!
+ gua sha: using an all-over oil from non-toxic bodycare brand, MIFA & Co. IMO, gua sha is the easiest and quickest way to boost blood circulation, which tightens the skin and smoothes out fine lines. I feel an immediate difference & it shows. Another night-time favorite is Skinceuticals HA Intensifier – pricey, but worth every penny!
+ eye balm: Skinceuticals eye balm, or goop has a good one
+ rich moisturizer: I use Skinceuticals face cream
