2 WAYS TO WEAR: DOUBLE-DUTY SHIFT DRESS

Have you guys been following the weather on the East coast this week? Snow storms in April?! …and I thought it was cold in Vancouver. Lucky for me “cold” means a mild 10 degrees with a chance of rain, which I’d gladly take any day over snow. As much as we are all ready for spring let’s face it, we’re still dodging signs of winter.

Today I’m excited to be partnering with Reitmans to share how I take my shift dress from winter to spring with a few effortless swaps. Dresses are easily one of the most versatile pieces a girl owns, making the transition between seasons a breeze. As you know, I love pieces that can do double-duty, be worn different ways and accessorized for different seasons. I’m a girl who loves options, but obviously it’s better for the bottom line!

Lately I’ve been loving this little shift dress (under $60) and daydreaming of ways I can style it for the warmer months ahead. Not only will it be great through spring but I know it’ll serve just as perfectly for summer, worn as a single layer with sandals.

Prints are big this spring, but that doesn’t mean you have to go bold. I liked this dress because of its neutral colour + simple print, to me it’s just easier that way to mix & match with other pieces.

2 of my favourite ways to style my shift dress:

  1. Dressed up for a polished look: paired with simple black booties, hat + finished with a chic trench coat [w/ draped front] – It’s your top spring staple and also perfect for this seasons unpredictable weather patterns.
  2. Dressed down for a casual vibe: paired with white sneakers or neutral espadrilles + topped w/ a dark wash denim jacket. Also available in a light wash.

I hope this was helpful! Here’s to hoping this weather smartens’ up!!

This post is in partnership with Reitmans. As always, all thoughts + opinions are my own.
