HELLO 2017!

Well, it’s been a week since we got back from Hawaii for Christmas break and oh man am I happy to be home. Being on vacation is a funny thing, you look so forward to it then when you get there you need two days to decompress, two days to settle in before finally feeling relaxed and having to head straight back to the airport to go home. I don’t want to sound like I’m complaining but isn’t that the way!? We had such a fantastic trip, and it was much needed after the craziness that December brought.. but it seriously took me a couple days once we arrived to really shut down and feel like I could unplug and relax. I had to really talk myself into just being present and reflecting and feeling grateful for all the gifts that came in 2016.

So many lessons in life and in business, hard lessons. Ones that broke my heart and made me stronger types of lessons. I plan to channel all that energy into focusing on what I love doing most – You’re reading it right here! Creating. Capturing. Expressing my passions and lifestyle through sharing bits of my (real) life through my channels.

This year I am going to take a slightly different approach and focus more on providing my readers with a less censored version of myself and my life. I want to focus on capturing the real me, so what you will see on my channels this year will be a more raw and real perspective, which I’ve been learning is what you all really are looking to feel inspired by! That means taking a more raw approach to all aspects of life, and opening up more on love, family, fashion, entrepreneurship, life at home.. A big shift I also want to focus my attention on is creating more balance in my life and improving the little day to day things that affect everything else I do.

‘The Working Girl’ has always been about the notion that life is a constant work-in-progress and I (just like all of you) am striving to become the very best version of myself that I can be. That is the goal. Below I’ve included a couple ways I am going to make this happen for me in 2017:

  1. Keep Active
  2. Be Present
  3. Maintain healthy diet (heavy on plant-based options)
  4. Time Management
  5. Keep a tidy, happy home
