HOLIDAY ENTERTAINING | giovane market

I hope you all had a lovely weekend! One of the things I love most about the holiday season is that it brings friends and family together which is always so special. Everyone gets so busy throughout the year, it’s nice to slow down and spend some quality catch-up time with my favorite people, over yummy bites and bubbles. We love to entertain at our house, but even if the festivities take us out for the night, I love to bring something along even if that means a few cute decorations, some sweet treats or unique mixes for crafting cocktails.

This holiday season, I’m very excited to announce my partnership with the Fairmont Pacific Rim Hotel! The Fairmont asked me to share and style my holiday hosting with an intimate lunch for some of my best girlfriends, complete with ocean views of the harbor and delicious gourmet goodies from giovane market.

giovane market is located off the Lobby Lounge of the Fairmont Pacific Rim, and is your one-stop-shop for hosting year-round, no matter the occasion! An Italian-inspired café and eatery, with a newly added gourmet food destination, offering a carefully curated selection of luxurious prepared meals, high-end food products and exclusive gifts.

I wanted to create a holiday-inspired tablescape that made my guests feel special, but I knew I wouldn’t have a ton of time to do much cooking, so instead I opted to shop the giovane market after work for a simple but decadent spread of assorted meats, cheeses, tapenades, artisan olive oils and fresh baked baguettes making up our delicious charcuterie platters. I also picked up some amazing sweets to balance the savoury and included my favorite BATCH caramel popcorn and freshly baked mini pecan pies and lemon meringue pies for dessert.

For a personal and festive touch, I added a sprig of rosemary, a candy cane and a cute Christmas ornament (a cute little takeaway for my guests) tied together by some twine to each place setting. Depending on the time of year, I love switching out little seasonal details to bring in some holiday cheer.
