Now that Summer is coming to a close it’s time to get your home ready for fall! While some trends come and go, there are stylish accent pieces that you can incorporate that are timeless and here to stay. I’ve teamed up with Chairish; an exclusive, curator approved, online marketplace for vintage and used furniture, to create 3 styleboards sharing my picks for decorating a few of the favorite spaces in my home. I have always loved and felt inspired by french country living, so that was what I started with as a base and built my design out from there adding in lots of shabby chic details and a few rustic touches.
To create the rooms below I worked directly from the ‘Shabby Chic’ section on Chairish.com, mixing different styles of furniture to complete each look. Starting with my bedroom selections, I fell in love with this gold and glass chandelier, french-style twin cane headboards and bleached wood side tables:
I love the idea of investing in a few pieces then working with what you already have to create a room that seamlessly blends a variety of styles. Especially when you’re working from a budget! We have a home office in our condo and I thought these spiral wicker end tables would serve as the perfect space solution for some extra seating. The wire basket hanging storage, wall coat rack and lacquer tray are also great space savers and alternate ways to organize your office:
Last but certainly not least, I loved created my ‘living room’ styleboard, a mix of rustic & eclectic pieces that work perfect together. Keeping holiday entertaining in mind, I selected items like the distressed, vintage wood dining table, gorgeous white wood, 6-arm chandelier and (faux) bamboo tray table, which I would convert into a chic bar cart for dinner parties.
