If I had to sum up the perfect fall uniform in three easy pieces it would have to be; 1) cozy draped cardigans, 2) destroyed skinny jeans and 3) neutral ankle booties.
I snagged all three items at the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale for well over 40% off. I don’t really like to be preach-y or push sales, but if there was ever a time to budget wisely and invest in your wardrobe it’s definitely appropriate to do so during these Nordstrom sales. You’re getting access to fall items that have only just hit the stores, and shop them at huge discounts before the prices go back up to their regular prices on August 8th (or they sell out). These three items are going to be getting a lot of mileage this fall! Read on below for the full breakdown:

Draped Cardigan: beautifully drapes in the front, the fabric is super soft and lightweight, only $89 $49 – super cozy for fall. I love the abstract print and black and grey color combo. Something slightly more daring than my neutrals that I love oh, so much. Sadly, this one has already sold out (I wasn’t kidding) so I’ve linked a couple similar cardigans here, here, here and here.
Destroyed Denim: I absolutely love the destroyed detailing on these jeans (not to mention they were only $68 $44), the only piece of advice I’d give if you’re looking to shop these guys is they aren’t super stretchy, so I would size up to be safe.
Neutral Ankle Booties: These booties were at the top of my list when I first browsed the sale. I love to invest in a new neutral ankle bootie (and a black tall boot) for fall. If all else fails you know you’ve got some trusty backup of jeans and boots. Whether you choose to finish off the look with a white tee (like I did here) or a button down blouse and blazer, it all works and can be interchanged with other staples you’ve got in your closet. These fit true to size and are $169 only $99. They also come in a darker brown, black and the beige color.
