One of my favorite sales of the season started yesterday!! That’s right, you may have heard the news over on my Instagram channel – SHOPBOP is hosting their Friends & Family Sale! I’ve been browsing the site for weeks adding favorites to my order until the sale started so I could grab all those must-have fall items without totally breaking the bank. I normally do more “window shopping” on retailers like SHOPBOP.com than actual purchasing because many items I like are a little out of my budget. That being said, saving up for these semi-annual sales are a great way to invest in piece you’ve had your eye on, really love and will get the most wear out of. When these sales come around I’m always thinking, “here’s my chance!”.

Next on my list was finding some new items for work. Feeling put together and powerful in what you’re wearing can make the difference between a mediocre day and a successful one. Sometimes all it takes is leaving the house in the right power suit (and positive frame of mind) to tackle the days pressures and commitments. Here I’ve rounded up some favorite looks for work and the office. Whether prepping for pitches (in a bold power suit) or meeting a colleague for a working lunch (in this refined look) I love looks that are sophisticated, polished and pretty.
This quilted Marc Jacobs laptop bag is a must ($120), I had to have this lace white button down, with the gorgeous ornate floral overlay (a steal at only $84) and this Tory Burch wrap wristwatch is still on my wishlist for Christmas. Staples like these navy trouser, black work tote and autumn trench coat also caught my eye.

In Vancouver we’ve been enjoying much cooler temperatures with lots of crisp, clear sunny days – definitely sweater weather to say the least. I love getting the chance to wear lots of chunky knits with (no jacket) skinny jeans and the perfect fall boot. Not much work gets done around here without A LOT of coffee so this new mug is a little gift to myself for the completion of my home office! A few other items I’m crazy about are these metallic polka dot jeans and this Tory Burch mini ($250 now $175).
