A huge advocate of women in business, I was both shocked & flattered when the wonderful team over at Corporate Relations, Young Women in Business asked me to come speak about my story, experiences & personal brand for their networking event on March 4th. Having always been eager to attend any networking events I could all throughout my education, you can imagine my confusion when they asked me to give a 40-min presentation (who, me?) to a group of young business-minded women curious about finding their paths in work & life.
I was nervous to say the least, speaking intimately in front of 50+ people about my life seemed a little daunting & I thought about turning the opportunity down but I decided to let go & just go for it – life is about finding your way, pushing your limits (even when they feel uncomfortable) & grasping onto the opportunities that will take you to new heights. What’s the worst that could happen, right?
I couldn’t be more glad I decided to go for it instead of letting my fears take hold of me.
When in doubt, keep dreaming.
