This weekend was extra special. Not only did we celebrate Valentine’s Day but today marks six months of marital bliss as a ‘Socias’ – our first little milestone as husband and wife and we thought it would be the perfect time to share a few photos that our dear friend, Jamie Lauren Photography captured from the best day of our lives.

We chose to gather 80 of our most precious family and friends to my Grandfathers private residence on August 15^th, 2015 for an outdoor, garden ceremony followed by a family-style, sit down dinner under the twinkle lights.

We knew we wanted to keep things light and fresh with hints of summery whites and soft pinks, but incorporate a rustic, West Coast feel throughout. We dressed up the gardens and the tent with bistro lights hanging above, lots of beautiful fresh flowers and the sounds of old Hollywood and Frank Sinatra. It was the most incredible celebration I have ever experienced, and I will never forget dancing under the stars with my new husband, surrounded by everyone we love.

Near the end of the night, my sweet cousins surprised us with a midnight send-off as fireworks lit the sky above and our guests enjoyed our favourite Hugo’s Churros, hot from the fryer. That day and every detail was truly us, and I couldn’t feel more blessed to have had such an incredibly involved partner who supported my vision and opinions, and who wasn’t afraid to give me his! These past six months have been the most uplifting, blissful months of my life and marrying Roberto was the best (& easiest) decision I could have ever made. Being his wife is a dream, and I can’t help but think everyday of how lucky we are to have crossed paths at University, 8 years ago.

I absolutely adore the way these pictures turned out and I love that they were shot in such a sentimental place for my family and I to cherish and remember this day by forever. I love the idea of being able to share these photos with our future children and look back on this precious time of our lives. We are so thankful to each and every person who helped make our big day a reality, it was truly so much more than we could have ever imagined.
