Pairing comfortable (and stylish) footwear with business casual workwear is a daily necessity. Heels just aren’t a realistic option for this girl so typically I reply on a great pair of Spring flats (love these tassel flats and these) for a polished look, flat boots or if I’m feeling really daring I’ll reach for wedge espadrilles.

Now that Spring is in full-swing the unpredictable rain is as well, so I’ve been keeping my Hunter rain boots close, by storing a pair in my car in case of emergency. That way I can easily swap them in if the weather takes a turn for the worst.. and there’s nothing worse than getting your favourite pumps ruined!

A pretty patterned blouse (I love this one’s neck tie) and distressed denim work perfectly together for a relaxed, business casual look that even went well with my boots. I would finish off the look with a structured blazer or black trench coat, perfect for a busy day in the city and appropriate from day to dinner.

On another note, I’m excited to be speaking on a panel tonight at 6:30 at The Aviary. I would love to see you there! We’ll be talking all things blogging and Instagram and I’ll be answering any questions you have! Check out the speaker series info page or purchase the last few tickets left, here.
