AUTUMN APPLE CRISP: GET THE RECIPE

Happy first day of Fall!! One thing I wanted to do this weekend was bake an Apple Crisp. It’s one of my favourite and most nostalgic deserts of the year. One that my mom used to make for us growing up and still makes to this day. What’s not to love? Apples are in-season this time of year, providing that sweet + sour cinnamon-y filling, topped with a delicious rich oat crisp + sugary crumble. It’s basically fool-proof and super easy to make — the perfect autumn dessert that will most definitely be an instant hit.

It’s only been a month or so since I lost my Papa, but I’ve been checking on his apple trees every so often to see when they’d be ready to pick. This time last year, we were out there picking them together. The trees produce tons of apples, it seemed a shame to let them go to waste. So… my assistant and I headed over to pick some the other day to make an apple crisp this weekend.
