When I was younger, I used to hate reading. I thought it was a waste of time and that the coles notes version would always suffice. That was then.
Now, I can’t get enough of reading and actually put ‘chapters indigo gift card’ on my christmas list so I can have a little allowance for new books.
In 2020 you’d think everyone would resort to reading on a device, but I still prefer the real thing. There’s something about being able to flip the page, but more importantly I like to make notes and mark pages for reference or to come back to later. It’s been really helpful for learning.
Everybody has their preference on genre, but for me it’s always been books on mindset, business & career stories, philosophy and lots of personal development. I’m all about ‘being better’ and I’m interested in hearing the science and research behind the mind, it’s functions and how we can use all these pieces of info to better ourselves.
Anyways, I’ve spent the last year or so reading A LOT and wanted pass on some faves if you’re into self-improvement & building a badass career (on your own terms):
