Happy 1st of September!! We survived the craziness (and bliss) of August and I am so content to welcome fall with open arms – can’t believe it’s really September already and our wedding is now a memory I can replay in my head. My entire wedding process was a complete whirlwind, one that I have been thinking back on fondly since. I couldn’t be more thrilled with how our wedding day came together and I can hardly wait to see all the photos that Jamie and her team captured (which I will be sharing later!).
The week leading up to my wedding was organized chaos, taking care of last minute preparations, bachelorette celebrations, welcoming friends in from out of town and of course getting ready for the day! I was so lucky to have partnered with luxury hotel, Fairmont Pacific Rim and their stunning Willow Stream Spa for a morning of absolute tranquility and relaxation – about the best gift a bride-to-be could ask for. Nothing calms nerves better than the Willow Stream Spa. A sanctuary and spa facility, including tranquil lounges, steam room, outdoor, rooftop deck featuring private jacuzzis, an infrared sauna, and meditation pods, a movement studio and a boutique offering a variety of products to extend your spa experience at home. First I wanted to shared some captures from my Willow Stream photo journal before I explain the rest of my experience below.
My first spa treatment was the 90-minute Brightening Body Scrub – a relaxing head to to experience that helps to achieve a uniform skin tone and reduce the appearance of hyperpigmentation. This multi-active treatment begins with a brightening aromatic bamboo scrub and multi acid body peel and is followed with a relaxing message with organic juniper oil mixed with a warm firming and hydrating body crème.
Next, I really enjoyed the Tighten and Transform, 60-minute facial – energize and transform your skin with this high performance treatment that includes an exfoliating multi-acid peel for face, neck and décolleté. Red LED Light and Impulse Micro-Current help cells rejuvenate, accelerate cell repair, re-educate muscle tone and trigger DNA regeneration. Treatment concludes with the infusion of essential nutrients into the skin with cutting edge Transdermal Delivery technology.
I was a little nervous about the facial at first because I had never had a facial using red LED light and micro-currents but it turned out to be anything but scary! I felt nothing but relaxed, and my skin felt completely rejuvenated and so soft after. The specialists at Willow Stream are extremely friendly, knowledgeable and professional and take every opportunity to ensure your utmost comfort and relaxing needs are covered. Even down to the music selection in the treatment rooms, want to hear the sound of a rainforest instead of the ocean – there’s a button for that.
Not only were both treatments heaven sent, I loved being able to relax over lunch on the terrace and take in the stunning panoramic views of the city and harbor afterwards.
