Since we got back into town from Mexico I’ve been dreaming and scheming our next trip. We had such an amazing time away at Secrets Silversands Resort and I can’t wait to have the opportunity to travel more often. I enjoy the entire process of traveling, from making packing lists to organizing my suitcase, selecting in-flight magazines, catching up on naps, my favorite podcasts and the last couple episodes of Suits. Reflecting on our honeymoon I put together a little packing list of what I would typically include in my travel bag:
Making sure to include important staples like chic toiletry bags, remote chargers, travel tags and repairing lip balm. It’s important to note that every time I pack, I OVER-pack. I guess I do this in fear of not being prepared and to have options, but what I should have learned by now (from what I brought and never wore), is that especially in a tropical destination, less is more. Bring extra accessories and play to your looks that way instead of over packing with options chances are you won’t even wear. These were some of my daytime and evening staples from J.Crew that played perfectly to the humid heat and Mexican flair:
Seriously how cute are these rolling suitcases?! I love how more & more brands are taking note that style shouldn’t stop at our luggage bags and are going the extra mile to provide a wider variety of options that aren’t your ‘typical’ black suitcase. To anyone who is about to catch a flight, happy packing! Until my next getaway …….
