SPRING BEAUTY: AU NATURAL

When it comes to beauty products I’m relatively simple but having said that, a girls gotta have options! Since 2016 when we first started working with brands like Plume Science, I’ve noticed a shift in the beauty market with more and more all-natural brands/products joining major retailers like Nordstrom, Sephora and Shoppers Drug Mart. It’s nice to have options when it comes to what you’re putting on your skin, but it can also be hard to navigate which to bother buying and trying.

Until very recently I feel like natural beauty products got a pretty bad rep — either the consistency was off, it didn’t actually work or wouldn’t last the demands of the day. I’ve spent some considerable time testing a handful of brands and products to see for myself and have been pleasantly surprised by the results. To narrow down your search, scroll down for a few of my favourite brands/products made from all-natural ingredients:

+ EOS: I looove Eos moisturizing lip balms and keep one basically in every room in my house and one in my car. They are packed with antioxidant rich Vitamin E, shea butter and jojoba oil. They are natural, hypoallergenic and free from parabens and petrolatum.

+ Nude by Nature: Nube by Nature is an Australian-based company focused on high performing natural formulas, free from synthetics, silicons, talc & parabens. I recently tried their Perfecting Primer and Natural Glow Loose Bronzer and have become an instant fan.

+Dr. Roebuck’s: Dr. Roebuck’s was introduced to me by a friend. Founders Kim & Zoe created the company after having their Dad, Dr. Roebucks formulate clean skincare (free from parabens, sulfates, phthalates, silicones, chemicals and fillers) for them using minimal ingredients for maximum results. You know I love a good spritz to wake up and reinvigorate the senses, so you can bet I can’t get enough of Bondi Hydrating Mist. Their Boost & Tighten collagen boosting serum smells so good and instantly feels like it’s working. I tend to get dry hands, especially from washing throughout the day so I keep some Coconut Hand Cream in the glove  box of my car along with my Hydrating Lip Creme I’ve been loving. The Ocean Power kit is perfect for if you travel often!

+Plume Science: I started using Plume products back in 2016 when they launched their first all-natural beauty product, their lash serum. Since then, they’ve expanded in US markets and followed up with a second product, a brow pomade which I’ve been using and loving since it came out. This product, I use daily and can say with 100% certainty that it has helped improve the shape, thickness and growth of my eyebrows. I wanted to avoid relying on filling in my brows and find something that could actually promote the growth of them naturally and this did the trick. I use the shade Golden Silk

+ Amika: I personally loove dry shampoos and conditioners. I work out 4-5 times a week and don’t dare wash my hair that much or I probably wouldn’t have any hair left. Instead, I rely heavily on dry shampoos to keep things fresh through the week in between washes. Amika products are vegetarian-friendly, cruelty-free and free from* sulfates, MIT, MCI, Phthalates and artificial colours – not to mention their dry shampoo and conditioner smells AMAZING.

+ Happy Spritz: Happy Spritz is one of my favourites, spreading happiness with every spritz. I’ve always been a big fan of their essential oil sprays, but recently I’ve been using the Daily Essential Oil towelettes and love! I keep some in my workout bag, in my car or they are perfect and convenient for travel or on-the-go. I recommend the trio, it includes three different essential oil blends to take you through the day.
