MY EVERYDAY PRODUCTS

Growing up I was never suuuper into makeup and to be quite honest, it wasn’t until literally last year that I even knew what to do or how to use many products. But like everything else, my beauty routine has been a work in progress and one that I’ve been more interested in getting right, as of late. Spring and Summer to me, feel fresh and light and I like to reflect that in the cosmetics I use.

There are a lot of perks to being a blogger; like working with established brands, traveling, attending brand previews and media events, etc. but one that I’ve been taking total advantage of has been receiving beauty products to test. Part of my job is to try and test out products that are new to market, to see how they work, how I like them and to decide whether or not they pass the test for me to feel confident in recommending them to you.

Trust me when I say, there are a lot that don’t make the cut and I only recommend products/brands that I honestly and genuinely love and have found success with. I’ll usually share more of this process on my stories and explain why certain products are worth a shot.

I take my testing duties v seriously and usually give myself a couple of weeks to fairly try them out. Lately I’ve been using Olay’s Total Effects Luminous Whip brightening moisturizers as a primer underneath my makeup and I’ve found that it’s helped give my skin a subtle glow and hold my products in place longer throughout the day. After cleansing in the morning, I’ve been applying a generous amount of Total Effects Luminous Whip all over my face to lock in the moisture and prep my skin for makeup. The lightweight formula doesn’t feel tight or sticky but goes on smooth with a matte finish.

After a lot of trial and error I’ve finally found my perfect combo to even, protect, highlight and give a sun kissed glow to my face without overdoing it. As you know, I hate foundation and will do pretty much anything to not have to feel to covered up and caked on. A bright, dewy, healthy glow is what I’m after!

It’s worth noting that getting a real glow start from the inside, with lots of leafy greens and clean eating — and glowing green smoothies
