WHAT I WANT: IN MY NEXT KITCHEN

Is it just me, or has quarantine kicked up your obsession with home decor a notch? I know for me it’s become a bit of an addiction. We are currently in the process of finding our family home, so I’ve been paying particular attention to what catches my eye and what might enhance our lifestyle. As much as I want everything to be aesthetically pleasing, we also need the design to be functional.

To get things narrowed down, I’ve been spending A LOT of time on Pinterest lately for inspo. If you’ve visited my account there, you will notice that everything [home related] is categorized by room. I’m including a few images I’ve collected below, so you can get a feel for the vibe we’re going for… all images were pulled from Pinterest.

SHOP MY KITCHEN WISHLIST

SHOP THE POST:

Cookbooks: I want to invest in cookbooks with lots of colourful images and fresh recipes with nutrient-dense meal ideas. They also make for great decor, sitting on an open shelf or countertop. I order most of mine off Amazon or get them in-person from The Cross Design.

Knife Block: I saw this one scrolling on Amazon and my jaw dropped. Love the aesthetic of this one but I also like this Japanese 2-piece knife set as well.

Non-toxic Cookware: pots & pans set (Chrissy Teigen’s line at Target is super cute), baking sheets & silicone baking mats.

Sink with a view: I mean, I need something to look at when I’m slaving away in the kitchen lol.

Spacious Fridge: with lots of room for crushed ice & an assortment of beverages.

An island: for extra storage and counter space to prep on. I’d also love to have a few stools here for extra seating.

Pendant lighting: I’ve always wanted to experiment with pendant lighting but have never had the opportunity. Another little detail that can really make the room.

Pantry: what girl hasn’t dreamt of their own pantry before? I know I have. I’ve got a real obsession for organization, so having a small pantry to store dry / canned goods and extra supplies would be so helpful.

Nespresso Machine: we love our Vertuo Plus Nespresso machine. We went with that one because it makes full cups of coffee (5 sizes in all). I like to fill these glass jars with our capsules to store on the counter. I’ve also got my eye on their new machine, the Vertuo Next.

A fancy kettle: I’ve always loved the look of glass kettles but recently got a look at this electric one by Fellow and fell in-love. Obviously a $150 kettle isn’t a necessity, but it sure is pretty.

Wine fridge: need I say more..

If you could have anything in your kitchen, what would it be?
