Up until this point, we had only ever had sets of random-ass dishes. Think ikea, plus a mix of one-off’s that had likely been gifted or bought throughout the years. I remember at one point, around when we got married, thinking we should invest in an actual (grown-up) set of dishware. BUT, after looking around I realized there are like, zero options. There’s either the ikea route or you shoot right up to the top of the budget with some fancy set that already looks outdated. Not that there is ANYTHING wrong with Ikea! I still and will always shop there, I love it! It was perfect for us when we first moved in together (over 8 years ago). I’m actually kinda surprised how they held up over the years, but over time, life and experience I have been wanting something that reflects more of our personal style.

Meet Fable. I was introduced to the founder years ago, just as they were launching in Vancouver. I explained to him my issue with what’s currently on the market and he promised that Fable would meet those requirements: affordable, durable + beautiful. After using their products now, I see what he was talking about and it’s been such a cool experience watching the brand take-off. They have expanded their product offering to include everything from chic glassware, flatware, serving platters, tapas plates + table linens.
