LIFE UPDATE + BABY REGISTRY

Life update!

Things have shifted with the timing of our renovations being completed to our new home, so we’ve had to tweak our plan accordingly. For my Virgo, type-A personality, this hasn’t been the easiest news to digest. I had high hopes of being able to nest in our new house and get settled & set-up before baby arrives. Now that we won’t be moving until late Aug – early Sept, it means that we will be bringing baby home to our condo – which isn’t the end of the world (don’t get me wrong), it just means that our place will be mostly in boxes and we will just have to make due with the circumstances in the meantime.

The upside is that newborns really don’t need much, so my plan is now to have our snoo beside our bed with whatever baby needs (for feedings/changings) but aside from that, i’ll save most everything else to be opened up once we move. One thing I knew that would help me feel more organized and in control, that I could tick off my list, was to create a baby registry and get what we need (so I don’t have to think about it). I decided to open one with Buy Buy Baby because they really are a one-stop-shop when it comes to all things baby.

Being brand new to this, it made more sense to me to go somewhere were we could shop for everything from larger items like strollers, car seats and cribs, to little stuff like diapers, bath products, swaddles and everything in between (think postpartum care). I enlisted my Mom to help and we made a day out of it. In a few hours we had everything we needed and the items we couldn’t find on the floor, we arranged to have delivered to the house. The whole process from start to finish was super streamlined, easy and their customer services reps in-store were extremely knowledgeable and helpful to say the least.
