MY FINAL WEEKS OF PREGNANCY

It’s crazy how quickly my pregnancy has flown by. In all honesty, I feel like I’ve been so focused on the end timing of everything going on in my life, that I haven’t really taken the time to fully enjoy it. It’s pretty incredible when I think about what my body is going through and that I’m carrying our first child. I’m happy that I’ve been pre-occupied throughout this time, I think it’s probably helped me get through it but I also want to be intentional about really feeling into this moment in time. Now that I’m starting to clear my schedule and reduce work hours, I want to take this time to rest, read and enjoy my last final week of pregnancy.

First thing I’m doing is taking this friday out-of-office to spend at the spa. I figured it was the best thing I could do to shut off from everything and allow myself some time to be pampered. I’m getting a 60-min pre-natal massage followed by a 75-min foot massage and a light lunch on their rooftop patio. Days before our wedding (back in 2015), I took a day to unwind at the Willow Stream Spa at Fairmont Pacific Rim and this week I will do the same before the next biggest event in my life. To say I’m looking forward to it, is an understatement. Between keeping my business afloat, prepping for my product launch, renovating our house, packing up our apartment and building a baby, things have been pretty non-stop – not to confuse the fact that that’s how I like it – but it’s time to take pause.

A FEW THINGS I’M LOOKING FORWARD TO OVER THE NEXT FEW WEEKS:

+ finishing my book (currently reading Building A Story Brand by Donald Miller)
+ relaxing in my backyard
+ doing lots of grounding – if you’re not familiar
+ eating lots of yummy food
+ keeping hydrated with plenty of water & vitamin waters (love the zero sugar açai blueberry these days)
+ spending alone time with hubby
+ long walks with Xavi
+ continuing with yoga and pilates and lots of stretching
+ getting lots of good sleep (I’ve been extremely lucky to sleep well throughout)
