I’m not even sure where to begin. This has definitely been a long time coming. 

We’ve been on the hunt for the perfect family home for over a year now and just weren’t able to find exactly what we were looking for. We knew we wanted to find an older home that we could remodel and make our own, but in terms of general layout, location and land, we just kept coming up short. 

That is…. until the perfect property came along. 

Something that offered all living space downstairs, plenty of bedrooms upstairs, ample storage space, somewhere spacious enough for our dog(s) – you KNOW we’ll get more eventually – and something that would allow me a space to work from home. We were very specific and most people around us kept telling us we were being too picky – but we wanted to find a place where we could lay down roots and stay for a long period of time. 

We’ve spent 8 years in our current condo, which has given us more than enough time to REALLY understand what we need, what we want and what we can live without. We are most definitely going to miss it. It has been such a special place to build our life together and has literally seen us through it all. We first got possession in Dec of 2013, decided to move forward with some cosmetic updates while away in Hawaii, where my (then) boyfriend asked me to marry him and we came back home ready to start our life together. 2 years later, we were married, a year after that, brought home our dog. It’s held us as we’ve both established our careers, gone through job changes, financial struggles as I started my business, dealt with family loss and hardships, but also the best of times. We really made it our own and it has certainly become a sanctuary for us. I can only hope that the next owners love it as much as we have.

All that being said, as we get ready to expand our family we are finding that we really do need some more space. Hence our timing.

There is A LOT to do to this new home. Which also means that you’ll be seeing a lot more content on my blog centered around home + interiors. You can also expect to see a whole YouTube series dedicated to just that. If you follow me on Pinterest, you are well aware of my obsession with interiors + design, so for this project I definitely plan to make my mark on this home and do things differently than I have in the past. 

Our move-in date is coming up very close to my due date – which admittedly, had me worried but I have full confidence in the team that is working with us on our home and I know that everything is going to work out for the best. 

We’ve been keeping this news to ourselves for a whiiiile now, it’s been so hard not spilling the beans (since I’m use to sharing everything with you) but I’m so excited to show you everything we’ve been working on and cannot wait to bring you guys along for the ride!!!

P.S. thank you so much for bearing with me, as I’ve been a little quieter than usual on social these days. I’ve been working on a ton of details + logistics behind the scenes and have been trying to conserve my energy since I’m also 7-months pregnant! So I very much appreciate your patience in sticking by me as we make these huge life transitions and get everything ironed out. So happy this is finally out!
